Conventions of an ident

There are different things which would make an ident. One of these thing would be the name of the channel. This would let the audience know on what shows will be presented if the name of the channel appeared. 

There would be a logo of the channel presented. This would be the name of the channel along with some image that goes with it, such as a feature that is included on a show which broadcasts on the channel.

An ident can be used to present shows. It would fit in the slot where it shows what shows are about to be shown and what shows will be presented. 

In some idents, there would be some sort of narrative that would be shown in which then, the name of the channel would appear. This would be a clip of people sitting at home preparing to watch TV, or someone going on about their day and then the name/logo of the channel would then appear in a position in which is shown to be the main attention in the ident. 

Also, there would be some things from the shows that are presented on the channel. This would be elements, such as a couple of footballs that are presented on the ident, which would give the idea of what show is about to show, in which the idea of this element being included would be a good way for the audience to know that a football programme is about to be on.

As for an ident, they would present their ideas which would be different to others. For example, an ident which is made for a channel that present shows to entertain would have a lot of movement and more visuals to the audience, whereas an ident for a channel that informs or educates would have some visuals but some written texts would be included.

Post production process report

At this stage of production, I was ready to start editing my Ident. As I have used Final Cut Pro to edit media products in the past, I was adamant that this was an appropriate editing software to use. I had all my footage that I filmed for my Ident inserted into the Mac that I was using with an SD card and I imported every shot that I had filmed onto the software. When I had done this, I looked at all the footage that I had and saw that I had numerous footage. The first thing that I did was make a rushes video, in which I placed all the unedited footage onto the timeline and save it as one video. Then, I shared it as a master file and uploaded it on YouTube as my rushes video. Then, I made a table for the rushes log, which helped me structure out all the footage that I had, how long each one was and which one I would want to keep and which ones that I felt were not useful.
